I Have Learned to Laugh at Myself and Have Shown Others the Humor in Themselves. The point of this blog is to make others laugh or smile within just a minute or two based on something funny that has happened to me in my life. It isn't easy living my life sometimes when things like this keep happening, but you have to laugh and move on! I am working on a book about my life and its comical mess. This blog contains some book teasers. Watch here for book updates!

How did she know?
After my grandmother passed, my kids and I went up to her house to help go through some of her things. I was going through a box of Christmas ornaments, while my kids were going through the game closet. I got up and looked inside the closet, and saw a red satin square box, like one you would store a very nice ornament in. I told my 10-year old daughter to open it up. She refused. I asked her again, and, again, I got a 'no'. I was starting to get a little upset with her, but she insisted on not doing it. I gave in and started opening the box up myself. The first thing I noticed was that there was some really unusual packing material in the box. As I dug deeper, a light went off in my head! Oh my goodness, this is Pumpkin! Pumpkin was the dog of my great aunt, my grandmother's sister. What the heck was this dog's remains doing in her game closet?!? This is a funny example of how older folks are unique!
